Y JACK: What is your creative process?

M: When I have an idea I ask myself one question, “so what?”.

If I can answer that question, I start to design or paint with any medium that is next to me at that time. My process varies.

Y JACK: Where/What do you draw inspiration from?

M: Certain incident, disappointment, conversation, smell, music, paintings, movies, photography, colors, books can trigger certain emotions which become the inspiration for my next project.

Y JACK: As an artist, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve come across?

M: Self promotion is a big challenge for me, not good at it and also, do not want to be good at it either.

Y JACK: What do you find the most rewarding about being an artist and a teacher?

M: When my painting/teaching touch someone inside, is the best reward I can ever ask for.

Y JACK: How do you think visual art and fashion inspires one another?

M: Fine art + Architecture + Sculpture + Music + Film + Fashion ---------- all live within the same clear envelope.

Y JACK: What types of styles and brands do you usually gravitate towards? What is your “go-to” outfit?

M: Mostly black. Nothing trendy, but more classic. Fabric that has tactile quality.

Y JACK: What is the most important factor you consider when buying a t-shirt?

M: Neck line and not too long bellow hip. Proportion has to be just right.

Y JACK: After wearing YJack, what is your experience with our shirt’s hand-feel and fit?

M: It reminded me of soft cats when they lay on me, white cats.

Y JACK: What items would you match our tees with?

M: Kooples black denim and Saint Laurent black ankle boots.

Y Jack: When/Where would you wear this tee and why?

M: While teaching--------while painting---------while sleeping.

Y JACK: Who would you recommend this t-shirt to?

M: Designers that look for clean details with great quality.

Y JACK: What excites you most about working with YJack  and why?

M: What excites YJack working with me ?
